The typical variety of DOP Campo de Borja is Grenache, red and white. A grape appreciated throughout the world for its complexity and aromas. We find old vineyards between 30 and 50 years old and although production is low, the quality of the Garnacha that we grow here is recognized throughout the world.
In addition, and although to a lesser extent, we have other varieties that give our blend a very special personality: Tempranillo, Syrah, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot, Macabeo, Chardonnay, Muscat of Alexandria, Muscat of Menudo grade and Verdejo.
At the foot of Moncayo
Moncayo, a mountain 2,314 m high that dominates all of Aragon, is the main geographical landmark of this region and what gives a special character to our wines. Borja is located between the Iberian System and the Ebro Valley. It begins in the Somontano del Moncayo and goes to the Huecha River Valley and the so-called planes of Plasencia.
A simply perfect place
El Cierzo wind, that wind that we feel is our very own and shapes a whole succession of plateaus and the personality of our wines. Cool and dry, it gives our continental climate a Mediterranean influence. A climate of contrasts: from day and night, winter and summer… A very particular climate that gives our wines unique and different characteristics.
